Also known as chenille stitch or moss stitch embriodery. Forms a chainstitch looped above the surface. Needle pulls chain loop up, then "drops" it. Needs no bobbin. Appropriate machines include Singer 114W103, 114K103, 114E103; Treasure 1114-1; Consew 104; Cornely A, A3, A5, L3, LG3. Machines can be set for either chainstitch or drop stitch. Available in single strand, size 1/8.5 orlon acrylic.
