In 1945 Milton Troy finished his round of service in the United States Army.
He knew that he wanted to start a business of his own, but after many years of
taking orders in the service he wanted to be his own boss. He purchased a
business that sold eye glass cleaner, rented an office on Dearborn Street in
Chicago and started the dynasty known as Troy. From those humble beginnings
Troy,
has evolved into a multi-faceted wholesale distributor and manufacturer of
quality fabrics, t-shirts, and industrial supplies for the monogramming industry.
After being a premier fabric distributor for many years, we decided it would be
a natural progression to manufacture our
own quality line
of crafting and quilting fabrics. We have taken all of our considerable knowledge
of fabric and created one of the most loved and respected fabric lines both in
the United States and abroad. This line, known as our
Riverwoods Collection,
covers a wide range of tastes from the Northwoods Collections of Granola Girl,
Debbie Field,
to the bright colors of
Kathy Brown of the Teacher's Pet.
Somewhere in between are the more traditional colors and designs of
Johanna Wilson
of Plum Creek Patchwork fame. Everyone is thrilled to see how
Pearl Krush,
better known as Pearl Louis Designs. has used her wonderful sense of style to
create a line of flannels that make you want to cuddle up with them in front of a fire.
Now comes the question, "What could they possibly come up with next?" The possibilities
are endless, and we will continue to produce quality fabric that will be an inspiration
to all involved. Don't touch that dial! Stay tuned to this channel for more
exciting fabric from the fertile minds of Troy. Wow! Do wonders never cease?
Not at Troy Corporation, they just keep coming.
