Pearl Krush, is a designer extraordinaire. Pearl Louise Designs, her pattern business that she started in 1989, keeps growing. This line of wonderful patterns consists of over 250 unique designs, not to mention multiple books. The quilt industry looks to Pearl to write articles for their magazines, for they know that she will create something so magnificent that their publications will fly off the shelf and into the hands of very eager consumers.
As Pearl's business continued to grow she knew that it was time to branch out to a working studio. So in 1996 her business went from her home to a delightful shop just a quick 25 miles from Mt. Rushmore. That is when Thimble Cottage Quilt Shop in Rapid City, South Dakota was born.
Pearl loves her customers! That is why she says, "It is so much fun to have so many people come in and love what you do! I couldn't begin to do all of it without my wonderful staff and support from my husband, Fred, and family."
Pearl never stops thinking. Her mind continues to work 24 hours a day. Out of this fertile mind her new fabric line bloomed. It is called My Winter Garden. This enchanting new flannel line will add a touch of whimsey and a warm cozy feeling to all your projects. When Pearl, along with her best friend and terrific assistant Julie Weaver, brainstormed to develop all the patterns for their creation it just came alive. In essence, My Winter Garden became one of their children. Each pattern seemed to have a personality of its own. Therefore, they couldn't decide which was their favorite, for you can't love one child more than another!!!
